WELCOME to the Western Division of the Organization of Kodály Educators.  We have nine chapters who represent and teach the concepts of Zoltan Kodály. Our training includes methodology, solfege and folk song research. Kodály-trained teachers use this pedagogy during classroom and choral lessons.  We believe we make a difference in children’s lives through teaching in-tune singing, playing musical games, and learning folk music from America and throughout the world.  Chapters provide training for their membership during each school year. Our Choir Festivals feature the best Kodály-trained clinicians benefiting students from the chapter’s locale. Annually the National Conference features teacher workshops topped off by  performances from Honor Choir students! It’s truly a memorable event!  Kodály methodology instills in each student an understanding  that can provide a lifetime of musical pleasure.
